T-SPRINGS

T-Springs (TS-XR6, TS-Pro7, TS-Pro6, TS-PowerShoe) are essential for the performance and safety of your Kangoo Jumps rebound shoes. No matter the model, they must be replaced approximately every 60–80 hours of active use. For those exercising 2–3 times per week, this means a replacement every 5–6 months. Keep in mind that rough or uneven surfaces can wear them out faster. Failing to replace worn T-Springs on time puts excessive strain on the shells, increasing the risk of cracks or breakage - leading to avoidable repair costs. Timely replacement not only protects your equipment but also ensures optimal rebound and impact absorption. Signs your T-Springs need replacement:

  • Almond-shaped IPS: The Impact Protection System appears more almond-shaped than oval.

  • Reduced shell distance: The gap between the upper and lower shell (measured at the centre) is 14 cm or less.

  • Misaligned triangles: The triangle on the T-Spring starts to cover the triangle on the lower shell.

  • Narrowed T-Spring ends: The ends where the shells connect appear very thin - don't allow the shells to touch!

  • Less bounce, more strain: You feel increased pressure on your feet and notice the boots are no longer as bouncy.

Shells

Shells are a core component of your Kangoo Jumps rebound shoes, working in tandem with T-Springs to deliver a safe and responsive bounce. There are four types of shells, and choosing the right one depends on your body weight, physical condition, and fitness level:

  • Soft – For kids KJ-PowerShoes only (up to 45 kg / 99 lbs)

  • Light – For KJ-XR3 series (up to 80 kg / 12.5 st)

  • Hard – For KJ-XR3 and Pro series in S–M sizes (over 80 kg / 12.5 st)

  • Extra Hard – For KJ-Pro series in L–XL sizes (over 90 kg / 14.1 st)

Shells are highly durable when properly maintained - especially when T-Springs are replaced on time. Delayed T-Spring changes cause the shells to overstretch, weakening their structure and increasing the risk of breakage.

Each shell is secured to the boot by 1 screw (KJ-PowerShoes) or 2 screws (KJ-XR3 and KJ-Pro series). Periodically check these screws to ensure they haven’t loosened, and gently retighten using an Allen Key size 5, if needed.

⚠️ Important: Shells are sensitive to sudden temperature changes. If your boots have been stored in cold conditions (like during winter in a cold garage or shed), allow 1–2 hours at room temperature before use to prevent stress fractures. Always start with a warm-up session - it’s essential for both your safety and the longevity of your boots.

Soles / Non-Slip Tread

Soles, also known as Non-Slip Tread, are designed to provide grip, shock absorption, and stability - but like all components, they require replacement over time. Although highly durable, soles wear down faster when used outdoors, especially on rough or uneven surfaces.

To extend their life, it's important to clean them regularly after outdoor use. Always remove small stones, sand, or debris that can get trapped under or between the shell and the sole, as this can affect performance and even damage other parts.

🛠️ Watch the video to learn how to safely change your soles using a flathead screwdriver and genuine replacement parts. Be gentle during this procedure to avoid damaging the shell. Never force the tool and never place it towards you.

Available Sole Types:

  • for Kids PowerShoe Shells

  • for Light and Hard Shells

  • for Extra Hard Shells

⚠️ Important: New clamps can be very tight upon first use. To make them more flexible, you can soften them slightly by warming them with a hair dryer (medium heat) or briefly placing them in hot water before installation.

Liners - Inner Socks

Kangoo Jumps original liners are crafted from durable, breathable, high-quality, multi-layered foam, designed to provide optimal comfort, shock absorption, and a secure fit. The outer layer features moisture-wicking fabric to help keep your feet dry during exercise, while the inner foam adapts to the shape of your feet for personalized support.

To maintain their performance and hygiene, proper care is essential:

Daily Care:

  • After each use, remove the liners from the boots or leave them partially lifted to allow air circulation and prevent odour build-up.

  • Use moisture-absorbing inserts or sprinkle baking soda inside the liners between uses to keep them fresh.

  • You may also use antibacterial sprays designed specifically for sports gear.

Cleaning Instructions:

  • Hand wash only, using cold or lukewarm water (max 30°C).

  • Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or expose to direct sunlight or heat sources, as this may deform the foam or damage the fabric.

  • Allow liners to air dry fully before reinserting them into your boots.

Maintenance Tips:

  • Inspect liners regularly for signs of wear, such as thinning foam, reduced cushioning, or frayed fabric.

  • Replace liners when they lose their shape or no longer provide adequate support.

Storage:

  • Store your liners—and your Kangoo Jumps rebound shoes—in a cool, dry place.

  • Avoid damp or humid environments like garages, car boots, or outdoor sheds, which can promote mold and material breakdown.

By following these simple care steps, you’ll extend the life of your liners and keep your Kangoo Jumps boots performing at their best—every bounce, every time.
